Buchanan & Edwards’ Jon Tupitza Speaks at Spring 2019 Reston Azure DataFest Conference
WASHINGTON, Mar. 24, 2019 – Jon Tupitza, CTO solution architect and predictive analytics practice manager at Buchanan & Edwards Inc., an award-winning and fast-growing technology leader creating transformative solutions for government customers, recently spoke at the Reston Azure DataFest: Big Data Analytics Conference March 22, at the Microsoft Reston Campus in Reston, Virginia. Tupitza’s discussion “Team Data Science Process using Python Jupyter Notebooks” explained how predictive analytics solutions can improve team collaboration and learning.
“It was an honor to speak at the Azure DataFest Conference for the second year in a row.” said Tupitza. “The new challenges, tools and solutions for data strategies are rapidly evolving, so with each year there are new perspectives to discuss. Data and the cloud are constantly evolving and it’s important to keep pace with all of their moving parts. Having the opportunity to provide insight into my personal experience with data technologies and moving data to the cloud is rewarding in itself and it’s always a pleasure to learn from other industry experts as well.”
During his session, Tupitza discussed some of the top trends in data and cloud technology alongside other members of the industry. At this event, attendees had the opportunity to hear from a variety of speakers during 20 breakout sessions. Dialogue during the conference was centered on the Microsoft Azure Data Platform as well as open source solutions.
Tupitza has provided data platform, business intelligence and data science solutions to public sector customers for more than 20 years. Prior to joining Buchanan & Edwards he served as a senior business intelligence and SQL server consultant for Microsoft’s U.S. Public-Sector Consulting Services, where he supported civilian, defense and intelligence community agencies. Tupitza also served as a managing consultant at SolidQ and as a principal solution developer at Avanade.
Throughout his career, he has been recognized with industry certifications in data science, artificial intelligence, big data, business intelligence, database development and administration, software engineering, and infrastructure engineering. Tupitza earned a Master of Science degree in Data Analytics from Western Governors University and master’s-level certificates in data science from Harvard and Columbia.
