Dennis is the President & CEO of Buchanan and Edwards. In this role he is responsible for developing and executing an aggressive growth strategy that will expand B&E’s solutions into the national security market. He has nearly 30 years of experience growing businesses through M&A and organic growth. Dennis’ previous roles were CEO of IOMAXIS, LLC, an innovative cyber security solutions firm, was the president and CEO of A-T Solutions, Inc., a counter-terrorism solutions firm supporting a variety of defense, intelligence and law enforcement customers. Following the sale of A-T Solutions to PAE, Dennis was appointed the President of PAE’s National Security Solutions business unit. He was previously the president of Tech Team government solutions and served in a variety of executive positions at Anteon International.

Dennis is an adjunct professor in the George Mason University Executive MBA program and serves on the board of directors of the USO of Metropolitan Washington – Baltimore. He is a proud veteran of the US Navy.

Pamela Rothka is BE’s Chief Financial Officer. As a member of BE’s executive team, Pamela serves a critical role in the areas of strategic planning and analysis, capital financing, budgeting, rate design and development, mergers and acquisitions, and end-to-end corporate financial management.

She has more than 20 years of experience in finance, leading change and growing businesses through M&A as well as organic growth. Her experience spans across several industries including government, commercial and private equity owned companies. Her expertise includes financial strategies, accounting, and finance management in diverse industries of aerospace and defense; manufacturing and distribution, and information technology.

Pamela received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Drexel University and an MBA in Computer Information Sciences from Temple University. Pamela is a Certified Public Accountant.

Sean Spann currently serves as BE’s Chief Technology Officer. His current responsibilities include leading the strategic development of new capabilities and technology partnerships, fostering and developing innovative solutions for our clients, promoting technology and best practices, and oversight of research and development efforts. Sean works closely with both the corporate development and operations teams to help customers meet the demands of the changing technology landscape. As a member of the executive leadership, Sean helps shape BE’s strategic plan and establishes the BE technology roadmap and playbook.

Since joining BE in 2002, Sean has served in multiple positions over his 13-year career at BE, including Director, Program Manager, Project Manager, and multiple architect and lead technical roles. His customers have included the FBI, multiple Department of State bureaus, commercial clients, and State Governments. His efforts have contributed directly to BE’s growth in these accounts as well as help BE win new customers and expand or develop new capabilities.

Prior to BE, Sean was a Manager with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), delivering multi-million dollar CRM, billing, and provisioning systems to telecommunications clients. He began his career as a Program Analyst with the National Institutes of Health.

Sean received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of Michigan and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Maryland. He holds current Project Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master, and Certified Scrum Product Owner certifications. He is a subject matter expert in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and multiple products within those markets.

Mohamed Elansary joined BE in 2013 as the Director of Law Enforcement, National Security, and Defense Business Units. He currently serves as BE’s Vice President of Global Operations. Mohamed is responsible for service delivery operations to BE’s customers. Additionally, Mohamed supports growth through ensuring high delivery standards as well as leveraging customer relationships to expand existing work and identify new work opportunities.  As a key member of the leadership team, Mohamed also helps shape strategic planning and policy.

He is a high-performing, results-oriented executive and a certified PMP with over 15 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of the commercial and federal civilian IT market. Mohamed excels in providing transformational leadership to the federal government and commercial clients through the use of innovative technologies and best business practices. He is a subject matter expert in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing having deployed the CEB, USPS, US Courts, and DC Courts Enterprise Data Warehouses.

Prior to BE, Mohamed served as the Director of Judiciary Services for Guident. He served in a number of increasingly responsible positions starting with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting where he started his professional career as a Consultant and Senior Consultant, Beta Programs Manager for MicroStrategy, Professional Services Manager for CAST Software, Project Manager for Anteon (GDIT), and Director of IT for Corporate Executive Board (CEB).

Mohamed graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Teradata Certified Professional, and is MicroStrategy Certified. Mohamed is an active AFCEA and PMI member and he has volunteered for AFCEA Bethesda’s Law Enforcement IT Day since 2011.

Sean Gleason is the Vice President of Business Development of Buchanan & Edwards, where he is responsible for growing BE’s relationships with federal government customers, marketing communications and capture management. He has more than a decade of experience in government contracting, including previous leadership positions in some of the industry’s most widely recognized organizations.

Before joining BE, Gleason was vice president of strategy and operations for InCadence Strategic Solutions, a government service provider serving the Department of Defense and other federal customers. Previously, Sean was vice president of Department of Defense programs for leading government service provider PAE following its acquisition of A-T Solutions, an internationally recognized leader in counterterrorism, where he had served for more than four years as senior vice president of joint services. Earlier in his career, Sean held positions with Northrop Grumman, SAIC and Smartronix.

Sean is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served in Signal Intelligence and Electronic Ground Warfare. He attended Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania, and is continuing his executive education at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Tom Murray is the Vice President of Human Resources at Buchanan & Edwards. Tom has 35 years of diverse experience leading HR in products and services environments, with a strong track record of building high performing HR organizations. His areas of expertise include HR strategy, executive compensation, benefits, talent management, talent acquisition, leadership development, labor relations, employee relations, performance management, rewards & recognition, HR metrics and analysis and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Buchanan and Edwards he was the Vice President of Human Resources at PAE. He has also served as a founder, vice president of HR and executive officer for Engility Corporation a spinoff of L-3 Technologies, a market-leading government contractor serving defense, space and civilian agencies. During his time at Engility, Tom was instrumental in supporting the company standup as a public entity and its employees throughout merger and acquisition activities. Previously, Tom served for more than two decades as vice president of human resources for BAE Systems Customer Solutions Operating Group and the Intelligence and Security Sector, one of the world’s largest defense companies. Earlier in his career, Tom served in similar executive positions with Lockheed Martin, Loral Corporation and Amstar Corporation.

Tom holds a bachelor’s degree from Providence College.

Alex Alveario joined BE in 2016 as Director of Federal Civilian Solutions, where he oversees operations and business development of BE’s federal civilian accounts.  Prior to joining BE, Alex served in a number of operations, account management, and business development roles through multiple companies providing services to a number of federal agencies, both civilian and military, including the Departments of Commerce, Housing and Urban Development, Homeland Security, Justice, Veterans Affairs, the United States Navy, Army Corps of Engineers, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the General Services Administration, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Alex is a versatile operations professional in the workforce with over 20 years of leadership experience, starting with his time serving in the United States Navy as a submarine warfare officer.  He has experience delivering a number of different professional service types including technology implementation, maintenance, and support, consulting and advisory, engineering, business process outsourcing, and transactional real estate services.

Alex received his Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.  Alex is a certified Project Management Professional.

Mehret Belayneh joined BE in 2009 and now serves as the Director of Operations Support overseeing quality, security, internal IT support, and office administration Facility. Previously, as BE’s Quality Manager, Mehret led the company’s efforts to develop and implement Quality Management System (QMS) processes and led BE in achieving CMMI Level 3 appraisal; ISO 9001:20015; ISO 2000:2011 and ISO 27001:2013.

Mehret’s previous experience includes nine (9) years at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in sales, training, conferences, and marketing.

Mehret obtained her MBA in International Business and Marketing from Strayer University. Mehret also is a Certified Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Black Belt ITIL, and Certified Meeting Professional. Mehret has been an active member of the Professional Convention Management Association since 2007.

Heather Catalfamo joined BE in 2014 as Director of Federal Civilian Operations. She now serves as BE’s Director of Law Enforcement, where she oversees the operations of multiple BE law enforcement accounts, and manages 65+ employees and subcontractors in the National Capital Region. Prior to joining BE, Heather was the Vice President, Marine Corps account at CGI (formerly Stanley Associates, Inc.) where she lead the USMC IT Logistics and Training account.

Heather is a proven leader and IT professional in the workforce with over 15 years of extensive IT and leadership experience.

Heather received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington and a Masters in Information Technology from Virginia Tech. She is a certified Project Management Professional.

Haider Haimus joined BE in 2015 as Foreign Affairs Director providing strategic oversight for BE’s foreign affairs accounts including maintaining existing accounts and growing and developing business within the foreign affairs area. Prior to joining BE, Haider served as a Director in Salient CRGT’s (formerly Guident) Data Analytics and Business Solutions division where he provided senior account leadership and high level delivery oversight on several large consulting engagements. In addition, Haider developed strategic alliances with product vendors including Oracle, Tableau and MicroStrategy. Prior to Salient CRGT, Haider worked at Deloitte and Accenture.

Haider is a technology consulting executive with over 15 years of experience providing commercial and federal clients with solutions to their business and technology challenges. He is an expert in Business Intelligence and Systems Integration and specializes in program and project management, account management, opportunity capture management, and the development of trusted advisor relationships with customers.

Haider received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and his MBA from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Frank Hellwig has served as BE’s Director of Engineering since May of 2012 when he joined the company. Frank has been instrumental in identifying new technologies and integrating them into the fabric of BE’s programs and products. In addition, he oversees BE’s CTO Internship Program. As the Director of Engineering, Frank applies a product focus to all projects championed by the BE CTO team. The focus elements include full software lifecycle management, customer feedback analysis, global help desk support, solid configuration management, and cloud deployments of operational production systems.

Frank’s involvement in the federal information technology community began just after he received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University. Frank has supported the defense and intelligence community, working for both contractors and federal agencies including the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency, GTE Government Systems, Boeing Defense and Space Group, and Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems Division. In 2008, Frank and two business partners started a small consulting company, LynxBridge, which grew to a four-year revenue of $10M and supported clients from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Department of State.

Frank holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Masters or Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from Johns Hopkins University.

Anne joined BE in June 2016 as the Director of Business Development.  In this role, Anne is responsible for BE strategy and new business development growth across the Federal Civilian landscape.

Anne has more than 20 years of experience in managing Federal client relationships, program management, and leading business development teams across healthcare organizations. Prior to joining BE, Anne served as senior BD for General Dynamic’s Veterans Affairs/Military Health Business, United Healthcare/Optum Federal Health, and SAIC Health business units.

Anne holds a certificate in Information Systems from George Washington University and graduated from Longwood College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

Kevin Switaj joined BE in 2016 as Director of Proposal Development. In this role, Kevin manages the proposal development process, supports bids throughout the opportunity life cycle, and provides extensive analysis and reporting on BE’s pipeline. Prior to joining BE, Kevin served as Director for Proposal Development at LongView International Technology Solutions. His previous experience includes working at Engility Corporation, General Dynamics Information Technology, and Stanley Associates/CGI Federal.

Kevin has extensive proposal experience, helping develop, implement, and refine proposal processes for large, mid-sized, and small Government contractors. He is deeply involved in the Association for Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), including serving as a mentor in the National Capital Area chapter’s mentor-protégé program. He has been published in multiple APMP journals, and received the John Elder Journal Award for best article in the APMP Journal in 2015.

Kevin received his BA in history and political science from Rutgers University, MA in history from Villanova University, and PhD in British history from Indiana University

Michael Wooton joined BE in June 2016 as the Director of Contracts. In this role, Michael oversees all aspects of contract management, subcontractor and vendor management, contracts administration, and pricing for the company. Prior to joining BE, Michael served as Deputy  Director of Contracts at Alion Science and Technology Corporation. Michael has served in a number of contracts management roles through multiple companies including L-3 Communications and Engility Corporation.

He is a proven contracts professional with 15 years of extensive experience in Government and Commercial contract negotiation, administration, and risk assessment/abatement. Michael specializes in negotiating various agreements (NDAs, TA, Contracts, Subcontracts); developing cost and pricing information including pricing strategies and documentation; and delivering presentations on a variety of contracts and non-contracts related topics.

Michael received his Bachelor of Arts in Management from Assumption College and is a Certified Contracts Manager.

Brian Karlisch co-founded Buchanan & Edwards (BE) and served as Chief Executive Officer until October 2015.  An accomplished and recognized leader, Brian offers a unique blend of business development, building organizational capability, global team building and delivering mission critical IT solutions.   As CEO, Brian worked closely with the BE Executive team to develop and execute the company’s strategy and long-term vision.

He now serves as Chairman of the Board, and advisor at BE, focusing on developing strategies to grow and improve the company.  He has over 20 years of software engineering and management consulting experience solving complex IT problems for Federal Government and Fortune 1000 companies.

Mr. Karlisch received his Bachelor ‘s degree from Virginia Tech and has taken numerous courses with the Darden School of Business Executive Education program.  He is an active member of the Renaissance Executive Forums, Professional Services Council, MissionLink, and ACG – National Capitol Region.

Tony Parchment co-founded Buchanan & Edwards (BE) and served as President before stepping down in 2015.  As BE’s President, Tony worked with the leadership team to define the strategic direction for the firm, focusing specifically on identifying new opportunities to implement BE solutions that will streamline and improve business processes for new and existing clients.  He now serves as an active director and advisor at BE,  focusing on developing strategies to grow and improve the company. 

For over 25 years, Tony has worked in the information technology consulting industry, helping clients design and develop solutions that help them meet their organizational objectives. Prior to co-founding BE in 1998, Tony worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Next Computer and Apple, where he developed client/server and web applications in both the commercial and Federal sectors.

Tony earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and has completed executive education courses at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and the Professional Services Council.

Greg Parchment co-founded Buchanan & Edwards and served as Chief Technology Officer until 2015. Greg worked with BE’s practice leads to proactively envision, research and develop solutions to meet the demands of the ever-changing technology environment.

Greg started his career in government consulting working with the Department of Education through PRC (now Northrop Grumman). He then went on to work as a Senior Consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG, serving clients such as Swiss Bank, Comcast, Integrated Health Services, Zenith Insurance Company.

Greg graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. During college, Greg went through boot camp at Paris Island, going on to serving in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve for 4 years.

Greg serves on the Board of Howard University Marketing Department and manages the CTO advisory board for Buchanan & Edwards. Greg is also the director of his church’s technology and innovation committee and supports programs for the church’s young group in STEM development.

Sid Fuchs is the President and Chief Executive Officer, and a Director of MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company with 1,500 employees worldwide that provides innovative engineering and advanced product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies. He is an accomplished executive and nationally recognized business leader with a 25-year successful track record of leading and building companies and organizations ranging in size from $100M to over $1.5B in annual revenue that deliver results.

His career includes responsibilities as a CEO and board member in leading publically traded, private equity sponsored, and privately held corporations in a variety of business models to include R&D, engineering/IT services, product and solutions development, consulting and advisory, manufacturing, and hardware/software systems development and integration. His industry expertise resides in the Intelligence Operations and Analysis, Cyber Security, Homeland Security, Aerospace and Defense, Ballistic and Non-Ballistic Weapon Systems, ISR and Communications Systems, Commercial IT Services, and International markets.

Ron Jones is the Chief Strategy Officer and the Vice Chairman of Vistronix’s Board of Directors. In this capacity, Mr. Jones is responsible for driving the strategy and accelerating the growth and corporate development of Vistronix. Prior to Vistronix, Mr. Jones held the position of EVP, Corporate Strategy and Development at Sotera Defense Solutions and remains a member of the Board of Directors. He played a critical and prominent role in the establishment, build, transformation, and IPO of Global Defense Technology & Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: GTEC), before its sale to Ares Management, that created Sotera.  Before joining Sotera, Mr. Jones was the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development, and a member of the board of directors for Gray Hawk Systems, Inc. He was a primary force behind the build and transformation of Gray Hawk as a national security technology company, improving organizational effectiveness, hiring key talent in the leadership ranks, and closing add-on acquisitions. Finally Mr. Jones initiated, led, developed and closed the strategic sale of Gray Hawk Systems to ManTech (NASDAQ: MANT), helping to launch ManTech into the counter-terrorism community.  Before Gray Hawk Systems, Mr. Jones was Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development for Veridian (NYSE: VNX). He was the chief architect behind Veridian’s growth strategy and a leader and driver behind the highly-charged Veridian Mergers and Acquisitions program that, for over eight years, propelled the company through renewal, transformation, accelerated growth, an IPO and a highly valuated strategic sale to General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).  Mr. Jones formerly served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and holds a B.S. in Engineering from the US Naval Academy and an M.B.A. from Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

Tom has over 35 years of finance and operations experience and is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer of Counterpart International.

Before joining Counterpart, Tom was the CFO for Triple Canopy, Inc., a premier security company, from 2007 – 2013. He began his career in auditing and special services at Arthur Andersen and Company in its Washington DC office. Since then he has held senior-level positions in finance and administration at companies such as ERC International, Camp Dresser & McKee, Grayhawk Systems, Mantech International and Veridian Corporation.

Tom graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
