Buchanan & Edwards (BE) Wins Major Contracts to Support U.S. Department of State (DOS) Vanguard Enterprise IT Strategy
Buchanan & Edwards is proud to support the U.S. Department of State (DOS) Bureau of Information Resource Management (IRM) on two major IT programs, Vanguard 2.3.1 and Vanguard 2.3.2. Through these programs, BE provides enterprise program integration and collaboration content services to help IRM deliver transparent, interconnected diplomacy, information systems and to advance U.S. foreign policy through innovation and new technologies.
The Vanguard 2.3.1 Application Development, Operations, and Maintenance and Vanguard 2.3.2 Messaging and Collaboration contracts are part of a Department-wide strategic “Vanguard” initiative to consolidate IRM’s IT contracts and improve the overall quality of support provided to IRM, DOS, and its customers around the globe.
Over the last 10 months, BE has partnered with IRM to identify process and technology innovations to help standardize operations and reduce the risk of security violations, as well as establish key performance metrics to improve accountability and transparency across the Department. In addition, our efforts support the CIO’s mission and strategic plan to continue the vision of positioning secure information technology as a critical enabler of U.S. diplomacy and the protection of national and economic security interests.
