WASHINGTON, Nov. 2, 2018 — Buchanan & Edwards Inc., an award-winning and fast-growing technology leader creating transformative solutions for government customers, announced today that it has raised more than $34,000 to support the 2018 Greater Washington Heart Walk. Hosted by the American Heart Association, this event will take place on the historical National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Nov. 3.

“We’re thrilled to be participating in this walk for a cause that is so relevant today,” said Dennis Kelly, president and CEO of Buchanan & Edwards. “We’re proud to support the American Heart Association and are truly thankful for all of the support and donations that everyone has contributed to the fight against heart disease and stroke.”

The Greater Washington Heart Walk brings together local and national organizations in support of the American Heart Association’s lifesaving mission, while promoting fitness and wellness through community participation. This year, Buchanan & Edwards is sending 11 teams and 94 individuals to participate in Heart Walk. The company received more than 100 contributions to support the $34,000 donation it is donating to the American Heart Association.

The American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Its focus on cardiovascular health unites more than 33 million volunteers and supporters, as well as its more than 3,400 employees.
