WASHINGTON, Feb. 6, 2019 – Jon Tupitza, CTO solution architect and predictive analytics practice manager at Buchanan & Edwards Inc., an award-winning and fast-growing technology leader creating transformative solutions for government customers, was a panelist for the Chief Data Officers Roundtable during the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Advanced Analytics and Digital Transformation Committee meeting. The panel took place on Feb. 6 at the Microsoft offices in Reston, Virginia, where Tupitza discussed some of the upcoming challenges and current trends within the data analytics industry.

“It was a privilege to be on this panel for NVTC alongside some of the top thought leaders in the industry,” said Tupitza. “This roundtable served as a great opportunity to discuss some of the most important topics and innovations in cloud and data as well as the opportunities and challenges facing our industry today.”

Presented by the NVTC Advanced Analytics and Digital Transformation Committee, the Chief Data Officers Roundtable is an opportunity to learn perspectives and network with multiple key executives in the data analytics industry. The event consisted of two panels that contained corporate data leaders discussing their challenges, opportunities and road ahead for their organizations relating to analytics, as well as recommending various big data and advanced analytics solutions for a variety of customers.

Tupitza has been providing data platform, business intelligence and data science solutions to public sector customers for over 20 years. Prior to joining Buchanan & Edwards, he served as a senior business intelligence and SQL server consultant for Microsoft’s U.S. Public-Sector Consulting Services, where he supported civilian, DoD, and intelligence community agencies. Tupitza has been recognized with industry certifications in data science, artificial intelligence, big data, business intelligence, database development and administration, software engineering and infrastructure engineering.

Tupitza earned a Master of Science in Data Analytics from Western Governors University and Master’s-level Certificates in Data Science from Harvard and Columbia.
