Stephen Harwig joined BE in May 2018 as the Director of Talent Acquisition.  He currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Operations.  Steve is responsible for Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Security, Quality, Facilities and Events.  Steve serves as the conduit between Operations and the various corporate functions.

Steve has over 30 years of Talent Acquisition experience working in the commercial, military and defense contracting arenas.  Steve excels in realigning resources to get the most out of his teams.  Steve interacts daily with leadership in providing metrics and insight to all recruiting matters as he continually assesses and improves the recruiting processes.  Steve now also serves as the Executive Sponsor for the Human Resources and Corporate Operations groups.

Prior to joining BE, Steve was the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at the CSRA Intelligence Business group. Steve was responsible for the training and development of recruiters and leaders and provided oversight to multiple programs in the business group.

From 2008 until 2017 and prior to CSRA, Steve was the Recruiting Director for both the National Services and the Defense Business groups of CACI, who acquired the L-3 Technologies NSS Intelligence Solutions Sector in 2016. Steve directed recruiting operations for a 20+ person recruiting function with multiple sites throughout the US and in Germany. He provided direction to the Recruiting Team ensuring the staffing coverage of a diverse set of programs. Steve has significant experience providing intelligence and cyber support personnel to the nation’s major intelligence agencies. In this role he led the hiring of 1000 employees annually.

Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Western Illinois University and Master’s degree in Business from Kennedy Western University.  Steve is also a Proud Veteran on the US Army.
