The mission of the DoS is to advance freedom for the benefit of the American people and the international community by helping to build and sustain a more democratic, secure, and prosperous world composed of well-governed states that respond to the needs of their people, reduce widespread poverty, and act responsibly within the international system. The DoS currently employs 28,000 American and Foreign Service Nationals at more than 260 posts worldwide.

Federal Bureau of Investigation

The mission of the FBI is to protect and defend the United States against terrorist and foreign intelligence threats, to uphold and enforce the criminal laws of the United States, and to provide leadership and criminal justice services to federal, state, municipal, and international agencies and partners. The FBI has a significant presence within the United States and around the world, with more than 30,000 employees. Including Headquarters in Washington, D.C., the agency has 56 field offices located in major cities throughout the U.S., 400+ resident agencies in smaller cities across the nation, and 60 international offices in U.S. embassies worldwide.

Defense Information Services Agency

The Defense Information Services Agency (DISA) manages the DoD and other critical national network infrastructure connected to the Global Information Grid. DISA enables GIG users to access, post, process, use, store, and manage information on demand. DISA has many other critical missions including providing world-class computing services and overseeing the evolution of the existing DoD Command and Control (C2) systems.

Environmental Protection Agency

The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is to protect human health and the environment. The agency leads the nation's environmental science, research, education and assessment efforts. EPA employs 18,000 people at headquarters offices in Washington, DC, 10 regional offices, and more than a dozen labs.

  Food and Drug Administration

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) protects public health by assuring the safety, effectiveness, and security of human and veterinary drugs, vaccines and other biological products, medical devices, our nation’s food supply, cosmetics, and many other items. THE FDA helps the public access accurate, science-based information they need to use medicines and foods to improve their health.

Export Import Bank

The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) is the official export credit agency of the United States. Ex-Im Bank's mission is to assist in financing the export of U.S. goods and services to international markets; enabling U.S. companies to turn export opportunities into real sales that help to maintain and create U.S. jobs and contribute to a stronger national economy. With more than 70 years of experience, Ex-Im Bank has supported more than $400 billion of U.S. exports, primarily to developing markets worldwide.

U.S. Department of Transportation

The Department of Transportation’s (DOT) mission is to serve the United States by ensuring a fast, safe, efficient, accessible and convenient transportation system that meets our vital national interests and enhances the quality of life of the American people, today and into the future. The agency consists of 12 operating administrations and bureaus with more than 6,000 employees currently located at the headquarters facility.

DC Government District of Columbia Government

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is the central information technology (IT) and telecommunications agency in the District of Columbia government. OCTO develops, implements, and maintains the District’s IT and telecommunications infrastructure; develops and implements major citywide applications; establishes and oversees IT enterprise architecture and website standards for the District; and advises District agencies on technology solutions to improve services to businesses, residents and visitors in all areas of District government.

   Fairfax County

The mission of the Department of Information Technology of Fairfax County is to deliver quality and innovative information technology solutions to provide citizens, the business community and County staff with convenient access to appropriate information and services. Fairfax County is making the necessary investments in information technology and software, which through careful planning, cooperative business and technical execution will provide its citizens with a return on investment in the form of improved services.

      Foreign Service Institute

The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) is the Federal Government's primary training institution for officers and support personnel of the U.S. foreign affairs community, preparing American diplomats and other professionals to advance U.S. foreign affairs interests overseas and in Washington. At the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center, the FSI provides more than 450 courses -- including some 70 foreign languages -- to more than 50,000 enrollees a year from the State Department and more than 40 other government agencies and the military service branches.
