On July 13-14, 2010, two members of the Buchanan & Edwards team travelled to Philadelphia to represent the company at the annual FBI ITEC Convention in the Sheraton Downtown. This Information Technology Exchange Conference, hosted by the Bureau’s CIO, Chad Fulgham, draws hundreds of officials from throughout the FBI together to discuss current and future technological initiatives within the Bureau. Its purpose is to provide an arena in which IT information and findings can be shared on a broad scale. The conference includes technology training, briefings, and discussions in which Bureau staff can interact in order to better understand the technical issues that they each face every day.
Sean O’Donnell and Sean Spann were able to participate in this gathering of the minds and share with FBI staff and contractors the solutions that we are capable of implementing. The overarching focus of this year's convention was openly stated to be SharePoint 2010, thus the reception of BE was highly appreciative in light of BE's recent SharePoint 2010 initiatives within the Department of State.
